Windows /
Linux... Together
Writing the Usbor hosting software in Java allows
portability of GUI, program logic, and TCP/IP to most major operating
systems.
The Usbor hostware also supports easy distributed control of your
robots, even including mixing OS's. One can, for example, build a
mobile robot run by an Usbor connected to a Laptop that is running Windows
Mobile and has USB hosting and WiFi. The Laptop then can "expose" the Usbor
hostware to Linux boxes and Windows PC's for simultaneous control of
different robot subsystems via WiFi. And remarkably, no special programming
is required. This capability is already fully supported in Usbor firmware
and exposed to the Developer by the hostware design.
