This three-legged construction actually has two feet on each leg and
does a shuffling walk forward and backward, turning as it goes if desired... In
the video it even manages to walk across its own cabling without tripping.
Other gaits are also possible.
In the series of pictures, it lies down and kicks its feet (1), then
draws its legs together to stand up (2), walks forward (3),(4), and finally
stands on its hind legs (5) and reaches for the sky (6).
The circular black "feet" are nylon glides which slide easily. The
other "feet" end in pink erasers (not supplied) which grip the table
surface.
